Lacey and Bryan had to be patient this past year as they were one of the many couples in 2020 to make the difficult decision to postpone their wedding. Their wedding day finally came and it was a perfect day at Bay Pointe Inn! I asked Lacey and Bryan to answer some questions for us to get to know them better so enjoy learning more about them as you look their their wedding day images.

Please tell us your love story….how did you meet?

We have been together for 15 years. We met through mutual friends and pretty much started dating right away.

Was there an official proposal?

We stopped in Chicago on our way home from our Mall of America vacation. He proposed at the top of the Willis Tower in the Sky Deck.

What characteristic to you love most about each other?

I love that Bryan is a very loyal person. Bryan loves that I am “loving and caring.”

What are some fun things you love to do together?

We are fun and family oriented! We love to enjoy time with our kids and attend their events. We also love to try lots of different food and drinks together!

What was the best memory of your wedding day for each of you?

My favorite memory was our grand entrance dance. I love dancing with my husband. Bryan’s favorite wedding memory was seeing me for the first time.

Why did you choose your wedding venue?

Bay Pointe Inn is a beautiful venue. We were able to do our waterfront destination wedding close enough that our family and friends could join.

Describe the feeling of your wedding day as you look back.

It really was a perfect day. We had all of our closest friends and family there, the food and weather were great!

Did your wedding day incorporate any special history, hobbies or passions that are special to you both?

We made homemade jams for our guests. We picked the strawberries and blueberries ourselves. We also made a peach habanero using peppers from our garden. I (Lacey) made all of the centerpieces for the tables.

If there was one thing you could change about the day what would it be?

The only thing I can think of is that I misplaced my garter on the day so we had to cut the bouquet / garter toss at the last minute.

Where did you go on your honeymoon?

We are planning to do a trip for our first anniversary

Melissa was very patient and had so many great ideas! She knew exactly what times to get certain shots and even had hidden little photo op locations around the venue.
