Last night, I drove over to Comtock Auditorium and was blown away at the preformance from our local homeschool preforming arts association. They were doing their “dress rehearsal” for their play “The Pirates of Penzance”, and I was asked to photograph the play for them. It was so entertaining, I had to remind myself several times to “take pictures”. =)
I highly recommend you go and see this play, it is a fun evening full of very talented highschoolers in our area. You will really enjoy it. Please click here to go to their website for more information.
Here are some photos from their dress rehearsal last night. On a technical note, for all you photographers, I shot alot of this with my beloved 70-200mm lens at 200mm. I am using my new Canon 5D markII and shooting at 2.8f and underexposing alot of these photos in camera to get the result I was hoping for. Stage lights can be quite tricky and they vary on how the person turns into the light or away from it, or if the stage light itself changes.
Enjoy!
