Wedding season will be here for us again soon. Our first 2014 wedding is scheduled is in May. The weather is still quite chilly around here in West Michigan. So we thought we would do a blog post of some of my favorite wedding photographs from our 2013 wedding season. I was honored to photograph weddings all over Michigan this year including two weddings at the State Capitol in Lansing, MI.
As I look at these images, I do get excited for this new year of weddings to photograph. We have a fun wedding season ahead of us, and each one is unique and again a honor and privilege for me to be able to photograph.
We are looking to fill one more wedding date this 2014. So if you are looking for a wedding photographer for 2014 or 2015, please contact our studio. We would love to chat with you and see if we are a good match!
Until then, enjoy looking through the fun wedding photographs, and soak in the sun that is captured in the images below. Soon, I hope, we will see this warm weather again!!
This image below is my favorite wedding image to date. It was raining and we had to work very very fast. It turned out just as I had envisioned!!!
My job is so easy when I have gorgeous brides like Christine to work with….she was a beauty to photograph and one of the kindest girls too.
I feel like paparazzi in this photograph. I am tucked behind a tree photographing them. Their wedding was at THE SILO in Allegan, MI.
Sunset photographs are just magic. I always keep a close eye on the skies on wedding days and see if we will be able to capture beautiful photographs like this for our couples.
This couple was so fun to work with….they had a fabulous style all their own! I would describe it as “vintage glam”…..beautiful.
Another one of my favorite photographs for 2013. This photograph was taken at LOFT 310 in Kalamazoo, MI. Loved the texture of the beaded curating and the colors.
The Michigan State Capitol is a gorgeous and challenging place to photograph in. I am thankful I have a solid understanding of off camera lighting because as a photographer you need to rely on it to get beautiful images like this one below! I really enjoy photographing in there and look forward to more weddings there in the future.
FRIENDS!! What is a wedding day without friends, and a great wedding party!!
This couple gave us lots of time to photograph them on their wedding day and so we went to a field and captured this images for them. I love the softness, romantic feel and SUN!!
When we set up this shot, I wanted to get that chandelier in the image and somehow play off the red velvet on it….we used off camera flash to get this moody romantic image for them. The bride loved it. She chose this venue for all the ambience of the old Manor House…and I am happy I was able to capture that for her!!
Working with another sunset….a couple adjustments in camera and you get get completely different looks during a sunset. 🙂
This silouette  photograph was taken at the Henderson Castle in Kalamazoo, MI
This couple’s wedding was my last wedding for 2013. It was a beautiful Wintery wedding. Great way to end the season. This photograph was taken at LOFT 310.
