With wide, sandy beaches leading to sparkling blue water, a picturesque lighthouse and pier stretching out into the water and a charming, walkable beach town perfect for strolling, the beaches in South Haven are the perfect spot to plan yours.

First, there are the beaches of course, North and South. I love both beaches for different reasons; North Beach has a concession stand, picnic area, play equipment, restrooms, and beach volleyball courts. Kayak and paddle board rentals are also available. South beach is known for the big red lighthouse and its pier and has grills, a picnic area, play equipment, & restrooms. Kayak and paddle board rentals are also available.

Lake Arvesta Farms is located just 4 miles from downtown South Haven, Lake Arvesta has amazing water attractions including two inflatable aqua parks and a full-size cable park – giving guests the opportunity to learn how to wakeboard, water ski, and kneeboard. Also features indoor and outdoor pickleball courts. Lake Arvesta Farms offers a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces that can host private events for up to 300 people. Scenic views and serene surroundings paired with outdoor adventure make Lake Arvesta Farms a unique venue for weddings, social events, corporate outings or events, conferences, trade shows, or other large group events.

The Black River is a 4.2-mile-long river in the southwest part of Michigan that empties into Lake Michigan in South Haven.
