If you have a child age two or older, chances are that you also have a collection of their “treasures” in your home. They may include rocks, sticks, sea shells, cars, or even stuffed animals. As adults, we don’t quite remember what its like to be their age. They take their collecting very seriously, they take pride in them. They may decide they like to categorize or count their collection, which makes it even more special to them.
I recently photographed Barrett with his parents by Lake Michigan. At first, Barrett wasn’t super interested in having his picture taken. After a few minutes, he discovered how many cool rocks there were. He started collecting them and making piles. Excited to show me how many unique rocks he was finding! You can see in these pictures that he is quite a connoisseur with rocks.
