One of the wonderful perks of my job is watching families grow! I have been honored to photography little Helena’s parents for a while now. I photographed their wedding and now their growing family and it is so fun to stay connected with them in this special way through photography.
This is their beautiful daughter. When mom was pregnant with her, she told me her only request was she wanted pinks and girlie! We can do that!
This little greenhouse set up is a favorite here at the studio and we love creating new looks with it often. If the weather allows, we will take it right outside the studio and create an outside photograph with babies…those are so fun to do. We did a very special setup to honor the Japanese heritage of Helena’s mom and family. They brought in some special family heirlooms and we created a photograph with little Helena in it. How sweet is this picture of her with her great grandmother’s Japanese wedding dress.
We know that right after giving birth a mom doesn’t feel her best, but we always encourage them to “get in the pictures”. I like to say “do it for your children”. They will LOVE having photographs like these below to cherish for many many years to come.

This simple setup with our heart bowls is always a favorite here at the studio. It shows just how little our babies are in this fleeting newborn stage.
