Hello! My name is…
I am thrilled to introduce myself to you and let you know a little bit more about me, and my love of photography!
Photography is just plain fun, but when you are just starting out learning it can honestly be frustrating. I relate it to when I was a child learning how to play the piano. Those first couple of years were rough, I had to really concentrate on finding the keys and reading the music, but as I practiced each day, it started to not only get easier, but become all the more fun!
The reason why I love to teach photography is pretty simple. I go back to when I was first learning and found it frustrating to find the information. There is a TON of information and data out there, but when you are starting at the beginning it’s difficult and overwhelming to figure out what you need to learn and in what order.
I have been teaching photography since 2011 to my community and just love teaching other moms how to use their DSLR cameras out of the auto mode….and start to understand the manual settings on their cameras and how to take better pictures of their families.
I also have owned and operated my photography studio since 2008 in Kalamazoo, MI. I specialize in newborns, families and weddings. I also enjoy high school seniors, but if I had to chose a favorite genre of photography, hands down it’s newborn babies. I love snuggling those little ones and then creating photographs that I know parents are going to cherish for a lifetime.
