I am throughly enjoying the start of my 2014 with all these newborn baby photography sessions! This lovely family came to me to photograph their sweet little baby Isabel.
I love it when I can capture baby’s little grins and smiles. They can be a little elusive though….they always like to smile when the camera is sitting down and not in use….but every once in a while I can get them, and love it!!

Sibling photographs are not always easy to capture…but they are by far the sweetest. Moments that are cherished for a lifetime!
We always have requests from mom to do the chin and hands pose like the one below. We are always more than willing to do this pose, but one disclaimer we always say is that the baby has to be willing too. Doing as many newborn baby sessions as we do, we find we can talk most babies into this pose….but there are some babies that say “no thank you”. We have several poses we love to use and modify if our little models tell us no to the chin pose. As you can see below, Isabel was compliant and gave us a gorgeous pose.
As you probably can tell, I love my job. I live and breathe my job. I even hate to call it my job…because I enjoy doing it so much. One of things I love about it is the props, I enjoy going to antique shops and looking for photography props and inspiration from the past. My daughter Norah found this adorable baby doll stroller for me at a shop one day. She was hopeful I would let her have it for her doll, but I had much bigger plans for it at my studio. So instead of my daughter playing with it…her mommy is all the time. Its one of my favorites right now.
