Meet Ranya: Portage Central High School
~Class of 2020~
Meet Ranya! I had the honor to meet her and her mother for her senior photography session with me. It was a CHILLY day for their session, however Ranya was such trooper…and a natural beauty in front of my camera. I reached out to her to have her let us know a little more about her….so here is Ranya….
I’m a 17 year old high school student from Portage, MI. I am very family oriented and have a younger brother. I like to be outgoing and social.
Three things that are important to me are my family, my education, and the internet.
I am a Portage Central High School Senior!
My favorite memory of high school was during junior year competing in water wars. The game around two weeks and consisted of my classmates and I acting like crazy people to eliminate each other with water guns.
My favorite hobby is painting and drawing. I also really enjoy writing.
I love horror films. They are exhilarating, but my family never wants to watch them with me! My favorite TV show is Ozark: it’s always changing but this show is seriously insane. I mostly listen to alternative music.
Some of the school activities I participated in:
I was the president of Democrat’s club, competitor in Forensics, editor of the school newspaper, and video editor of the school broadcast.
I will be majoring in political science at Loyola University Chicago. I am extremely interested in politics, journalism, and Spanish and hope to shape that into a career one day.
During this pandemic, I am staying connected by group video chats, they have been great to stay in contact with my friends. My mom helps me to keep a positive mindset and be grateful for everything I have even though we’re in the middle of a global pandemic.
I can’t wait to hang out with all of my friends. I miss them so much. Especially because I’m leaving to college soon, I want as much time with them as possible.
Three words that describe be are friendly, funny, and dominant.
